Universal Studios Hollywood is a movie studio and theme park in the unincorporated Universal City community of Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood movie studios still in use. Its official marketing headline is "The Entertainment Capital of LA", though during the summer it is often advertised as "The Coolest Place in LA." It was initially created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios sound stages and sets. It is the first of many fully-fledged Universal Studios Theme Parks located across the world. Woody Woodpecker is the mascot for Universal Studios Hollywood.

Universal Studios Singapore is a new theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It was a key component of Genting's bid for the right to build Singapore's second integrated resort. It was announced on 8 December 2006 by the Singapore government that the consortium had won the bid and construction of the theme park and the rest of the resort then started on 19 April 2007. It's the second Universal Studios to open in Asia and the first in Southeast Asia. The official plans for the park were unveiled to the public when Universal Studios Singapore released a map of the park to the public on 20 October 2009.
